The above image is titled "Flying a Kite". The original watercolor painting was completed by Al in 1972.
Al Shelton loves horses and, in fact, was a cowboy & horse breaker in Colorado and the surrounding states in the 1930's & 1940's. Al has a special gift with horses and was able to tame them for domestic use with good success. In fact, Al did just that for the US Army's Mounted Cavelry, during World War Two, through his association with a local rancher.
The above fine art Giclee print is a very pastoral scene and truly demonstrates the fun that one might have with a domesticated horse. Note that there is a nice inscription by the artist painted at the lower center part of the work.
This print is available unframed and in both limited and open edition sizes. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, embossed leather medallion, short story about the painting and a one page Al Shelton biographical document.
Note: An Al Shelton living history CD is now in development and will also be included with the print in the near future. The CD features Al's story in his own words along with his fine guitar playing and western song craft. The CD will be shipped to all print buyers of record when it is available in late 2007.

The open edition image size measures 8" x 10" and features a one inch white border with hand torn edges. The unmatted fine art print is packaged in a clearview envelope with foam core backing and includes the Certificate of Authenticity and short Al Shelton biographical document. A small embossed leather medallion is also included with the approved Al Shelton artistic signature.
